Classroom Expectations:
The three main expectations to remember this year are…
It is my expectation that you will be on time to class each day with the required materials (this includes pencils, paper, text book, completed homework, etc.). You should come to class ready to pay attention, learn, and to be an active participant. The more interaction we have as a class the more exciting and enjoyable this year will be for all of us. With that being said, we want to make sure that class conversation and sharing is done at an appropriate time and in an appropriate manner. Please be respectful to the room, your classmates, and your teacher everyday. Treat each other as you would want to be treated. I expect each student to do their best, every day.
If you miss class, it is your responsibility to collect the assignments you missed from the folders in the tray under the bulletin board. You will have the number of days you were absent plus one additional day to turn in make-up work. If you have ANY questions at all, please come to me. I’m always happy and willing to help or answer any questions you may have.
Extra Help:
Please contact me if you are having trouble understanding material or completing an assignment. I will be available during office hours and by appointment. Office Hours will be Monday-Friday from 11am-noon.
Classroom Management:
When a student chooses not to follow the expectation of the classroom, he or she detracts learning from the rest of the class. Our classroom should be a healthy, safe, and supportive learning environment. Discipline actions will be taken when necessary.
Consequences:
I look forward to the year ahead and I know that with hard work, persistence, and being open minded we are going to achieve great things and have a lot of fun!
